The Monster World Traps are traps in the ground found in the Monster Dimension. Each trap resemble a large, round mouth in the ground filled with jagged teeth and made entirely of grass and earth. Once something or someone is placed on or steps onto the trap, it opens up, causing the person or object to fall into the trap and then fall out of a second trap located high up in a nearby tree.
While exploring the Monster World in Through the Looking Glass, Jake discovered and stepped onto one of these traps and then fell into and out of it. He then threw a rock into the trap which came out above his head.
